Some history on healing stones
For thousands of years, almost every culture and civilization has made use of the believed spiritual, emotional and physical healing properties of stones.
A common thread, woven into the great chain of life.
Over 200 references in the Christian Bible, evidence of Egyptian use as far back as 4500 BCE, and Chinese records detailing the medicinal uses of stones as far back as 5000 years, are just a few mere samples of a worldwide usage of gemstones, outlining the obvious significance of their huge impact on our planet and it's history.
Throughout the modern ages, many have forgotten these valuable resources, instead, relying upon our local pharmacies. Or, we have been afraid of the stereotypical label that is associated with what many refer to as 'New Age'.
For whatever the reasons we have stayed away, we have perhaps done ourselves a great disservice, and, if so, the price we may have paid, is with our health and overall well being.
With all of the research work done for us by our ancestors, why would we continue to disregard these gifts from the earth? Does it not make sense to return these treasures to the forefront where they belong and once again use them as our creator perhaps intended us to?
Like food for our body that the earth offers us, let us gratefully take this healing for our spirits and balm for our bodies and all the while, give thanks.
