Compassion Collection
The Compassion Collection by jewelry designer Wendy Wise, addresses the need for bigger donations to care for our homeless animal population. We all see the donation containers on merchants counters, asking for your change to help animal rescue facilities and Humane Societys. The need is great and the donations just can't keep up, so Wendy Wise has designed and created a line of handcrafted earrings with the specific purpose of raising some well needed, and much deserved cash for these havens.
The collection is called 'Compassion' and the beautiful soft pink stone that has been chosen for this project is Rhodochrosite.
Known as 'The stone of Love and Compassion', Rhodochrosite is believed to bestow the wearer with loving energy while comforting the heart and soul.
The earrings sell for only $10.00 a pair, and $5.00 of that price is put directly into the donation jar by the customer. Now when staff from the rescue facility come to collect from their donation container, they often find several hundred dollars where there once was mostly loose change and small bills.
It is the hope of Wendy Wise and everyone at With Our Hands that we are making a difference, and that these simple earrings may serve as a reminder that with love and compassion, all things are truly possible.
